✅ Know before you go
🧑🤝🧑Group Size: This is a small group activity limited to 8 participants, ensuring personalised attention and a safe experience.
🌄 Full-Day Excursion: The excursion lasts between 6 and 8 hours, including approximately 4 to 5 hours of canyoning activity and 2 to 3 hours of transport, depending on your pick-up location.
🏞️ Access and Return Trek: Reaching the canyoning point involves a 15-minute descent with a gentle, easy approach, followed by the canyoning activity, and concludes with a 30-minute ascent over steep and rugged terrain. This trek requires good physical fitness. Sturdy, waterproof shoes are essential for navigating the challenging terrain safely.
🚻 Restrooms and Services: There are no public restrooms at the activity site. We recommend using the facilities at your pick-up location. If needed, a stop can be made at a gas station before or after reaching the activity site to use the restrooms.
🌦️ Weather Preparedness: Weather conditions can vary, especially in forested areas. We recommend wearing comfortable, layered clothing to stay warm and dry after the activity.
🛣️ Road Conditions: Please be aware of winding roads en route. Consider bringing motion sickness tablets if prone to car sickness.
👶 Children Under 12: The minimum age for this activity is 12 years. Parents or legal guardians must accompany minors under 18.
🚦In areas with heavy traffic, especially in the capital, we may propose a nearby pickup point to the hotel to improve accessibility and punctuality.
🚨 Important Health and Fitness Information
Canyoning in the Rainforest involves physical activities such as hiking and abseiling through uneven, slippery, and rocky terrain. Participants will need basic physical fitness, good mobility, and confidence in managing heights and water-based challenges. To ensure safety and enjoyment, this activity is not recommended for:
- 🚶♀️ Individuals with limited mobility, such as those requiring walking aids (e.g., canes or crutches) or those who struggle with rocky paths.
- 👵 Older adults or those with physical limitations, including individuals with significant weight restrictions or difficulty with moderate uphill walks.
- 🤰 Pregnant travellers, due to the physical demands of the activity.
- ❤️🩹 Clients with severe health conditions, such as heart issues, respiratory difficulties, or other conditions worsened by physical exertion.
- 🦵 Travellers with recent injuries or chronic joint pain, as the hike demands stability, balance, and navigation of uneven surfaces.
📝 Additional Note: Please inform us in advance if you have any concerns about your fitness level.
